Offer a place on a team to any child the club knows, seeing first whether they fit the division.
Do this
- Read the list under the division's name: the children who fit it.
- Check each child's level and what has been recorded about them in the last year.
- Choose the team and how long the family has to answer.
- Press the offer button beside the child. The family is emailed.
Who fits
Everybody the club knows, split into those who fit the division and those outside it. The ones outside are folded below, each with the reason, like a grade or a birth year.
Each child shows their birth year, grade and level. Not yet assessed means nobody has given them a level.
Under each name is what the club's coaches have recorded in the last year, in a clinic, at practice or at a tryout. It is all one record. A child with nothing recorded is new to the club's coaches.
Offering a place
Pick the team, and how long the family has to answer. It can be 3 days to answer, 7 days to answer, 14 days to answer or No deadline. Then press the offer button.
The family is emailed, and accepts or declines on their child's Teams page. You are told either way.
Only staff who handle rosters can offer places. A child can have one place per season. An offer not answered by its date lapses, and the child can then be offered another place.
No teams in this division yet. means there is nothing to offer. Add a team on the season page first.
Most teams are built from sign-ups instead. This screen is for a child the club already knows.
Common questions
What happens when an offer runs out?
It lapses. It no longer holds the child for that team, and you can offer them another place or place their sign-up.
Why is a child outside the division?
Their age, grade, birth year or level does not match it. The reason is written under their name.
