Terms of Use
Effective August 16, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of TourneyMind, operated by TourneyMind LLC.
1. What this covers
These Terms of Use apply to anyone who uses TourneyMind — visiting a public tournament page, registering a team, entering scores, running a check-in desk, or browsing the site.
If you are a Tournament Director creating or managing tournaments, the Tournament Director Terms and Agreement governs your use, and it takes precedence over these Terms wherever the two differ.
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. We provide software. Directors run tournaments.
TourneyMind is technology used by independent tournament organizers. We do not organize, supervise, sanction, officiate, operate or control any tournament listed through the Platform, and we are not the organizer of any event you find here.
The Tournament Director is responsible for their event — its rules, eligibility, schedule, venues, officials, safety, entry fees, refunds, cancellations, and the accuracy of the information they publish.
Questions about a tournament — whether a team was accepted, when a game starts, whether a fee is refundable, why a schedule changed — go to that tournament's Director, not to us. We generally cannot answer them and cannot overrule them.
3. Information published by directors
Schedules, brackets, standings, scores, venues, fees and event descriptions are entered by Tournament Directors and their staff. We do not verify them.
Information can change, and during an event it changes often. A schedule you saved, printed or screenshotted may already be out of date; the public event page always shows the current version. Check it on the day rather than relying on an earlier copy.
4. Registering a team
If you register a team, you confirm that you are authorized to do so on that team's behalf and that the information you provide is accurate.
Acceptance of a registration is the Tournament Director's decision, not ours, and submitting a registration does not guarantee a place in an event.
Entry fees are charged by the Tournament Director through their own payment account. We do not receive, hold or route those funds, and we do not decide whether a refund is owed — that is between you and the Director, under the refund policy they publish.
5. Participation waivers
Where an event collects participation waivers, that waiver is the Tournament Director's own document. We do not write it, supply it, or vouch for it. We provide the means to present it and to record that it was signed.
A waiver is signed by a parent or guardian for each participant. Registering a team does not sign it on anyone's behalf.
6. Links that work without a login
Some pages — a team's roster page, a waiver link for families, a scorekeeper's score-entry page, a check-in desk — are reached through a link rather than an account, so that coaches, parents and volunteers do not have to sign up for anything.
Treat those links as you would a key. Anyone who has one can use it. Share them only with the people who need them, and tell the Tournament Director if one is lost or misdirected — they can replace it, which immediately stops the old one working.
7. Acceptable use
When using TourneyMind, you agree not to:
- use the Platform for anything unlawful
- impersonate another person, team or organization
- enter scores, registrations or other information you are not authorized to enter
- attempt to reach accounts, tournaments or data that are not yours
- probe, scan or test the security of the Platform, or work around any access restriction
- scrape, harvest or bulk-collect information from the Platform
- upload malware or anything designed to interfere with the Platform
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone through Platform messaging
- resell or commercially exploit the Platform or its content
- interfere with the Platform's operation or with anyone else's use of it
8. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit — team names, roster details, messages, answers to a director's questions. You give us permission to store, display and transmit it as needed to run the Platform and the tournament you submitted it for.
You are responsible for having the right to submit it. Do not upload information about other people, particularly children, unless you are entitled to.
Do not enter Social Security numbers, complete payment-card numbers, banking credentials, passwords, or medical records into any field. No feature asks for them, and none should ever receive them.
9. Our content
The Platform's software, design, scheduling technology, databases, trademarks and documentation belong to TourneyMind LLC or its licensors. You may use the Platform as intended; you may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or sublicense it.
Tournament information published by a Director belongs to that Director or their organization.
10. Availability
We work to keep the Platform running, especially on event days, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, outages at our hosting or payment providers, connectivity problems at a venue, and events outside our control can all interrupt it.
For anything time-critical during an event — a schedule change, a weather call, an emergency — do not rely solely on this Platform. Tournament Directors are asked to keep a fallback way of reaching people, and you should expect them to use it.
11. No warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND AVAILABILITY.
We do not warrant that a tournament will take place as listed, that a schedule is correct or final, that a team will appear for a game, that information entered by a Director is accurate, or that the Platform will be available at any particular moment.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOURNEYMIND LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION COSTS, LOST TIME, LOST OPPORTUNITY, OR LOSS OF DATA.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO ANY USER WHO IS NOT A TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PLATFORM, WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Injuries, disputes, cancellations and refunds arising from a tournament are matters between you and the Tournament Director. We do not run the event.
13. Suspension
We may restrict or withdraw access to the Platform where we reasonably believe it is being used unlawfully, abusively, or in breach of these Terms, or where continued use would put other users or the Platform at risk.
14. Children
The Platform is not intended for children under 13 to use independently or to create accounts. Information about young athletes is entered by parents, guardians, coaches, team administrators or Tournament Directors — never by the child directly. See our Privacy Policy for what is collected, which for a roster is a name and a jersey number.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in Bremer County, Iowa have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Platform changes. The effective date above tells you when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the Platform after a change means the updated Terms apply.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms, or about the Platform itself, can go to rwirtjes@tourneymind.com.
Questions about a particular tournament — entry, eligibility, schedules, fees or refunds — go to that tournament’s Director. We do not run the events listed here and generally cannot answer them.
