What's your refund policy?
  • Refunds: A full refund may be requested up to 7 days before the tournament. Refunds within 7 days will be the tournament directors discretion.  Credit card fees will not be refunded. 
  • Weather Cancellation: If the tournament is canceled due to weather or other conditions that make play unsafe or impractical, teams will receive a full refund.
  • Division Cancellation: If a division is canceled due to insufficient registrations or other tournament-related reasons, affected teams will receive a full refund.

What divisions are offered?

DBA Girls 5 on 5 offers: 4th Grade Girls, 5th Grade Girls, 6th Grade Girls, 7th Grade Girls, 8th Grade Girls.

How does pool play work?

Every team plays 3 pool games; final standings are based on pool results.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes — every team completes a waiver online as part of registration.

Tournament Information:

  1. 3 game guarantee
  2. Teams must be composed of students from the same school or district. No all-star

teams. Must play at or above grade level. Exceptions must be pre approved.

  1. 15 minute continuous-clock half with 3 minute half-time. Clock stops last 1 minute of

the game unless the score differential is greater than 15 in the last minute.

  1. All IHSAA rules apply with exceptions listed below.
  2. Full Court Press
  • 4th- 6th- No press, other than the last 1 minute of each half.
  • 7th/ 8th are allowed to press
  • No press if score differential is greater than 15.
  1. Man to man defense in 4th, 5th and 6th grade.
  1. Each team must wear the same colored jersey w/ number.
  2. 2 time-outs per team per game.
  3. Overtime will be 2 minutes long. Double OT is sudden death. No timeout between end of regulation and OTs.
  4. Warm-up basketballs provided. Please do not bring your own
  5. The DBA tournament will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries to participants, spectators or theft of personal possessions during the tournament. Coaches will be responsible

for their players.

  1. Technical fouls will result in an automatic 2 points and possession. Any player or coach

receiving two technical fouls will be ejected from the tournament.

  1. If games are running ahead of schedule, we will play ahead. Be prepared and stay close to the gym.
  2. Medals will be awarded to 1st place teams. (limited to 12 medals)
  3. The pool standings tie breaker is head to head then points allowed.
