Sign-in security
Two-step sign-in for your account: the authenticator apps on it, adding another, taking one off, and closing your account.
Do this
- Press Sign-in security at the foot of any page.
- No app yet? Press Turn on two-step sign-in.
- Have one? Press Add another app to add a second phone or a password manager.
- To take one off, press the button beside it that names it.
Two-step sign-in
After you sign in, with your password or a link we email you, you type a code from an authenticator app on your phone. Somebody who got into your email or learned your password still cannot get in.
Who must have it
Owners and admins of a club with families in it must have it. The next page they open asks them to set it up. It takes a minute, once.
Everybody else may turn it on.
Your authenticator apps
Each app on your account, with its name and the day it was added.
Keep a second one, another phone or a password manager, in case you lose a phone.
An owner or admin cannot remove their only app. Add the new one first, then remove the old.
You may be asked to show a code from an app before removing it.
Lost your phone
Lost your phone and have no other app? Press Report a problem from this account. The app is removed once it is known to be you.
Close your account
The link under Close your account opens a page that says what closing does, and what has to happen first.
Common questions
Do I need two-step sign-in?
Owners and admins of a club with families in it do. For everybody else it is a choice, and a good one.
What if I lose my phone?
Sign in with your second app if you added one. If not, press Report a problem, and the app is removed once it is known to be you.
