Season schedule
Build a league's whole season from its gym time and rules, check it, and publish it to every team.
Do this
- Under Game nights, add each court and night the league can use. Press Add game night.
- Under Days nobody plays, add holidays with Add date.
- For each division, fill in Games each team plays and press Save rules.
- Under Teams' requests, set a date and press Open requests.
- Read The schedule it would build, then press Publish.
Game nights
The courts and times the league may use. Pick the Court, the Night, From and To, and the First date and Last date. Press Add game night.
Add one for each court on each night. The scheduler uses only what is listed here.
Closures on a court come off by themselves, and so does any time somebody else has booked it.
If one of the club's seasons already has game times, Copy them here as game nights brings them in.
A court has to exist under Facilities before it can be picked.
Days nobody plays
A holiday or a school event: pick it under Nobody plays on and press Add date. Remove puts the day back.
Adding a day after publishing does not move games already on it. Move them from the league's page, or publish again.
A whole day lost to snow is called off from the league's page instead. Its games move to makeup slots for you.
Divisions and their rules
The scheduler plans by division. Each has its rules: Game length (minutes), Between games (minutes), Games each team plays, Days between a team's games and Most games a week.
Games each team plays must be filled in. Press Save rules.
Left blank, a game is 50 minutes, with no gap between games or days between a team's games, and up to seven games a week.
To keep a division to certain nights, add them under Plays on, with times and a gym if you like. How firmly says whether it is Must — only this night or Rather — another night if it must.
No divisions yet? Add one on the league's page. It can be the whole league. A team in no division is not scheduled.
Teams' requests
Set Coaches can send requests until and press Open requests. Each coach is emailed the requests page, and reminded two days before it closes.
Coaches send the dates and nights their teams can't play, and what they would like. You can add requests too.
Change date moves the deadline. Close requests stops new ones.
A can't is always kept. A wish is kept when it can be. If the season will not fit, break the conflict without deleting anything. Beside a can't, pick Avoid if possible and press Set. Beside a wish, pick Low, Normal or High.
Preview again to see what it builds.
Nights players can't make
The nights families ticked at sign-up that their child can't make. They always steer practices.
Press Steer games off them too and games lean off those nights as well, more for more players. It is never a rule, and never ahead of a coach's can't.
Practices only turns it back off. The preview says how many games still land on such a night.
Practices
Suggest practices opens a plan of one practice a week for each of the club's teams, from the league's gym time.
The schedule it would build
Every game it would place, and any it could not, with why. Nothing is sent until you publish.
How full each night is shows how much court time each night uses. Could the league give a night back? says if a night could go.
Change nights or rules until it reads right. The preview is built fresh each time the page opens.
It also says how many wishes it kept, and how many games fall on a can't you set to avoid if possible.
If the schedule would break a hard rule, it cannot be published. Please report it.
Publishing
Press Publish. The button says how many games.
Every game goes on both teams' schedules, booked from each roster, and families are told. Publishing closes entries, and the league is then underway with its public page up.
Publishing again rebuilds only what is still to come. Games played, scored, forfeited or moved by hand stay as they are. If nothing has changed, nothing is sent again.
Games already published but not played or kept are called off and replaced. A line above the button says how many first.
A club on a per-child fee pays for children who did not register online before it can publish. It sees a Before this schedule goes out: notice with a button to pay.
Common questions
Why does every team get only one game?
Games each team plays is not set for that division. Fill it in and press Save rules.
Why are some games not placed?
There is not enough court time, or the rules and can'ts leave no room. Add a game night, loosen a rule, or set a can't to Avoid if possible.
Does publishing again undo moves I made?
No. A game played, scored, forfeited or moved by hand stays as it is. Only games still to come and untouched are rebuilt.
Where do I call off a snow day?
On the league's page, once it is underway. Press See what would move first, then Call off the day and move its games.
